Hello and thank you for dropping by! I'm James Boston and I teach the piano across South East London.
Adaptable, imaginative and carefully tailored teaching practices can set the stage for a life enriched by music. This is why I balance the traditional elements of learning an instrument with musical games, theoretical puzzles, and other multi-sensory activities to encourage younger learners. I have....
- Over 10 years experience as a piano teacher, having successfully taken pupils from complete beginner to completion of the final grade.
- Experience working with all ages, from 5 to very grown up (most of my pupils are children but its always a delight to teach adults, so feel free to enquire about lessons for yourself).
- Well rounded musicianship, with regular experience gigging live, a multi instrumentalist (I also play the guitar, Double Bass, Saxophone and the Ukelele), and a semi-professional sound designer.
- A Bsc, Grade 8 Piano with Distinction, Grade 6 Theory. and have trained at the Institute of Contemporary Music Production.
